I was here for work and was pleasantly surprised. My original room wasn’t ready, but they promptly got me into another similar room as they were having a couple staff issues that day. It was nice that they walked you to the room instead of just the traditional here’s your key it’s over there. The free coffee in the lobby was a nice touch , but I did forget my breakfast box and no one reminded me as I left and checked out. Hopefully I’ll grab one next time.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Mantissa Hotel. The staff is excellent. My accommodations were perfect and the rooftop bar is the cherry on top. Jalapeno margarita, dreamsicle and salted caramel White Russian all very very delicious.
The location is in a lovely little place next to a nice restaurant the service is really good as well and then rooms are amazing!
I stayed recently at The Mantissa Hotel and it absolutely nails the boutique hotel experience. Stylish, comfortable, and right in the heart of downtown Hartsville, it feels like the hotel is part of the community - not just sitting in it. The rooftop bar is a must — great vibe, great energy, and clearly a local gathering spot as much as a guest perk. What really stands out is the people. The General Manager is excellent — professional, warm, and clearly proud of the team and the hotel. I met front desk staff and a housekeeper during my stay, and everyone was friendly, engaged, and genuinely seemed to enjoy working there and with each other. That kind of culture shows. This place feels led by the people who are there every day, and proud to be at the center of it all. Highly recommend.
Great place to stay! Rooms are beautiful! 5 star hotel! The entire hotel is beautiful! They have a rooftop bar and everything! It is a far step away from the mundane. One of a kind place for a one of a kind experience.
This was my 3rd time staying at the Mantesa when visiting Hartsville. It is a small unique hotel. The rooms are extremely large compared to most and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Drinks ( lemon drop martini) at the rooftop bar were to die for!
We are always on the lookout for nice hotels to enrich our road trips & the Mantissa didn’t disappoint! Our room was gorgeous & well appointed! The Sleep Number bed was very comfortable. Loved the big soaking tub! Definitely was a draw for us. It was great after a long 7.5 hour drive even though it was a ways off I-95! Totally worth it! While we initially had a bit of confusion upon check in with the type of room booked, it was quickly sorted. There were a few niggling fine points that could be improved upon, the person at the desk upon checking out asked about things and assiduously took notes on the few items.
